Frankly I feel as if the Seanad is redundant and should be replaced with another more effective body.

Seanad should be dismantled, it is essentially a waste of money and a fallback for candidates that didn't get elected to the Dail. If this is done however, more of a light needs to be shone on the work done and concerns raised by local councillors nationwide.
