Abortion is a medical procedure resulting in the termination of a human pregnancy and death of a fetus. In 2013, the Oireachtas approved the Protection of Life During Pregnancy Act which allows abortion to be performed on women whose lives are endangered during pregnancy. Proponents of abortion rights claim that since the 1970s more than 170,000 Irish women have left Ireland to have abortions and the ban is discriminatory towards women. Opponents of abortion argue that unborn fetus’s should be afforded the same rights as human beings.

Abortion is murder and should be treated as such with the same punishment as murder therefore we news to legalise the death penalty for murderers and women who got an abortion

A woman has a right to abortion if she has been sexually abused or if birth control failed, banning abortion will only create a massive problem of unwanted children
@97YKM2H4yrs4Y
Pro-life, even for victims of rape and incest, and provide financial and social aid for mothers in need

Pro choice, pro abortion, it is absolutely no man’s business to even have an opinion on the first place. If men were the ones that were getting pregnant, abortion wouldn’t even be a debatable topic, they’d be happening all day every day.
You are attacking them, not their argument. You are also disallowing for the fact that so many women are disgusted by this barbaric practice of murdering innocent babies.Their argument, and my argument, is based off the fact that any human with potential for life and achevement has a right to fulfil that life and achievement. We have a responsibility as civilised humans, to promote the best interests, and basic rights, of those who have yet to gain a voice of their own.The right to live is the one highest, most undeniable of our rights as people. We cannot assume that the child would have chosen… Read more
I categorically support abortions because if they are banned it can lead to death in certain cases. I have in mind that if the life of a pregnant woman is in danger because of the poor development of the fetus or some other health problem and if abortions are prohibited, it can be dangerous. Every woman should be able to decide for herself what to do with her body. I STRONGLY SUPPORT ABORTION.

There is very severe circumstances where abortion is nessesary, but I believe people shouldn’t forget it’s still murder. Life is being taken away from another human. It shouldn’t be governments decision what people do with their body but I believe abortion should not be idolised or promoted and the harsh truth of how devastating they are needs to be recognised. Abortions are a last resort and that option should be there for a person who feels they have absolutely no other choice. It’s worth noting that a pregnancy interfering on university or career is not a valid reason to end a life. Absolutely everyone in Ireland has access to the cheapest and most effective form of contraception- condoms

Pro choice, but with some restrictions/regulation. Re: it should be as a health (including mental helath) for it to be covered by health care. Or under given circumstances. Otherwise should be consideeed the same as plastic surgery or other elective procedures. There should also be limits on how far along the pregnancy is except for where the health of the mother or child is at risk.

Pro choice
An abortion is to be a women’s business and a women’s business only. Everyone is free to their own opinion, I fully get that people don’t like abortion and i believe that if you don’t like abortion don’t get one. but i think it’s diabolical that anyone would ever make up someone else’s mind on whether they would get an abortion or not. All well and good if you don’t want one or agree with it, but don’t take away someone else’s rights just because they don’t line up with yours.

Pro choice- just because you wouldn’t do it yourself doesn’t mean you can ban it. IT IS NOT YOUR BODY, IT IS NOT YOUR CHOICE. There are many cases where abortion is completely necessary such as if the pregnancy is putting the mother at risk of major complications or death, some women may become pregnant from rape they should NOT BE FORCED to carry that child, incest and so so many more reasons. Its not personally affecting you and that decision will not have been made in two minutes it will be something they have built an opinion around and something they will think about carefully

Why would a women body become a decision into law if your not a women and done have a unters you’ve no say in what a women does to her body you don’t bring a law in to say a women can have to choice of her body to then asking what someone opinion is a women is a able to to what she likes to her body without a man’s say my opinion on or choice is great I love it because it’s my body if I want an abrrion due to been financial stable or mentally or have no place to live I’ve a right to what best for my body as a woman your aloud to make your own decision abrtion right have to stay and if they don’t there’ll be upraw and fights remember you can give but if you take a away something it’s show your been disrespectful to a women and her decision why can a men have pills etc .,.

I think that the man should be able to decide with the woman the first time but if the woman gets pregnant a second time the woman should be able to decide by herself. Basically the man will have to pay 18 years of child support but if they don’t prevent impregnating their wife/girlfriend then it’s their fault. It’s hard to explain.

Pro choice, birth control and sex education to reduce abortions but also extended timeframe potentially 16 weeks. As most follow through with abortion when they are sure of it, for those unsure the extra time might allow them to access resources rather than abort in panic that they don’t have the right support to raise a child.

Pro-Life, but allow in cases of rape, incest, or danger to the mother or child
Providing birth control, sex education, and more social services will help reduce the number of illegal abortions (including Irish going to foreign states),
Offer free neutering to all male 6th year & college students to lower unplanned pregnancies as well
(men make women pregnant),as
Offer Long run contraceptives to females in the same group.
And we should bring in safe access zones around hospitals and healthcare centers as women get harassment anyway

Vasectomies are safer, easier, faster, cheaper, reversible, more responsible and unnoticeable while sparing women and babies from the experience of abortion, a bad life and dangerous major surgery and drugs. This should be available as a norm and promoted from a young age. The current system creates misery, death and misogyny. Abortion can be merciful but should be done before heart beat and if necessary after that, be strictly funded or available

If it had the death penalty, the patriarchy and sexism of modern society would still be desperate women who think it is truly the only choice they have.
