the voting age should only be lowered if politics and society becomes a mandatory subject for all secondary school students and anyone not in secondary school should be offered workshops explaining the political system and political history of this country

Could be lowered to 16 but it wouldn't make a huge difference unless 16-18 year olds were educated properly and impartially on politics

Voting age should be from 18 up as 16 is to low as there at a stage we’re thee only starting to understand, a say on there options can be valid yes if they know what there going to vote for yes and if it was brought init the education and talked about each parties then maybe it could drop to 16

Get the average age a person lives till in ireland and cap it at that. If they live past that age well done, but theyll probs die soon. They shouldnt get a say in our future when theyll be gone soon and so many younge children who cannot vote yet have to live w the consequences

Yes and every five years once you reach 50 mandatory test to make sure you still understand basic politics

i think voting should be based off IQ and property holdings. If your below a certain IQ you shouldn’t be allowed make decisions that affect the whole country but if you have property and are below the IQ should still be able to vote as the laws will affect your holdings of land
