You don’t need stats to prove that they are two people capable of the same love as a husband and wife
@9ZTVTRK6mos6MO
You should only be denied adoption rights if you as an individual have issues that would negatively effect a child in your care.
@9ZT2TQK6mos6MO
What aspect of a gay couple would make people think they can’t support a child, have a family home or love a child? It shouldn’t matter who the parents are or their gender as long as they love and support the child
@9ZS8BYQ6mos6MO
Kids should not have to suffer and wait for a family when people are more that willing to save them.
@9ZRWKVXSocial Democrats6mos6MO
Both parents work, there’s single parent families, stay at home dads etc, same sex couples are but one viable family type
@9ZQT995Social Democrats6mos6MO
A mother and a father could be more abusive than same sex parents gender of parents does not equal their ability to be parents
There are many children brought into this world without a single parent to care for them. If a couple wishes to adopt a child they are signing up, paying and agreeing to love and support this child. It’s not about the gender of the parents it’s about finding homes for children who deserve to have that love.
@9YN57957mos7MO
It doesn’t matter on what gender people are if the adoption agency can see they are good people have a income that shows they can make sure they have money to spend on there child and a good environment anyone should be able to adopt
@9ZP76PQRenua Ireland6mos6MO
2 men/ 2 women, can’t get pregnant through intercourse. They need to go about in through/ adoption/ surrogacy etc. Putting this much time, work and energy into having a child means that a that child is very much wanted. With this along comes love, support and care etc.
@9ZKWFC4People Before Profit6mos6MO
There are plenty of mother and father adoptive parents who are not fit to rase a child. I am adopted and my father was never present. It doesn’t matter who is raising the child once the child is loved and well cared for
@9ZKH3336mos6MO
Love is love. gender doesnt define love you dont get to decide why another human loves a man or a woman. also why should u care what another human does with their life, You only live once. spend your life not being worried about other people and you will be happier than ever.
@9ZFMR9Y7mos7MO
there’s no need to provide extra data here, a couple doesn’t need to just be a man and a woman in order to be able to look after a child
@9ZFBBYK7mos7MO
ata isn't needed, two men or women should have the same rights as a man and woman, regardless of gender.
@9ZD9CJS7mos7MO
People that are willing to open their home and adopt children should be allowed. Sexual orientation has nothing to do with the home and love you can provide for kids. Adoption is a long process and shows that people are ready and prepared for the challenges of raising children. Especially chilling that could come from broken homes and need extra care.
@9Z9NBPB7mos7MO
They are two people same as everyone. There is no data to show any differently. Why would you even care?
@9YNFHCP7mos7MO
Use your brain, do some real research that isn't opinion pieces, but instead research statistics. Facts don't lie.
@9ZMF9376mos6MO
It should be stated that there is children who need love and good homes that will support them, the members of the lgbtq+ community who want to be parents should absolutely be the ones to give these children the love and support they need.
@9ZHC6XGSocial Democrats6mos6MO
If people want to better the life of a child in need they should absolutely have the right to do so. Let people be good parents and let people live, damn.
@9ZCWYRG7mos7MO
I’m bisexual myself, and I don’t think my ability to raise a child in the future should be based off of if I am with a man or a woman
@9ZCRLSZ7mos7MO
There are no relations between care and love are traits that only come from a mother and father, this is treatment that any decent human with morals and ethics would provide for a family.
@9Z9VSYF7mos7MO
I believe all families should have the right to adopt no matter what gender makes up the parental roles
Members of the lgbt community can have the same values and love towards children as a straight person would and their children would love them just the same.
Again... Would you rather have an orphan or a happy child raised by loving, kind, caring parents who just so happen to be gay? You can clearly tell the difference here between an unloved child and a well looked after one here.

@9NRKVQQ12mos12MO
We are all entitled to start a family if we wish, whether two men or two women want to do so should not come into play here
@9ZKF7JJSocial Democrats6mos6MO
Attachment theory, trauma theory and neurobiology all indicate that once a child feels safe and secure they can thrive. Gender and sexual orientation of primary caregiver does not impact on this.
@9ZGVS686mos6MO
It’s a human issue, I don’t personally believe that data should be needed to convince people of this.
@9ZCX7Q87mos7MO
The root of family is love. If two people love eachother and wish to love a child who cares what sexuality they are.
@9Z9XCQC7mos7MO
It does not matter if a child has, two mothers or two fathers, as long as they are loved and cared for

@9ZDGQJHSocial Democrats 7mos7MO
Children deserve love. A child in the foster care system deserves to live a happy life and be supported. If a gay couple is ready to give a child everything they need to succeed. Why deny that child their chance of a better life.
@9ZC6ZD77mos7MO
Everyone has a right to be able to have the family they want no matter their gender or sexual orientation
@9YNGY257mos7MO
With the amount of children in Ireland who have no parents to take care of them (about 5000-6000, I believe), why should a couple be denied adoption simply because of their gender? You’re denying a child a chance at a happy home life purely because their potential parents are two men or two women.
@9YLXXN2Independent7mos7MO
because if a couple want a child enough and have provided the necessary information that proves that they will provide and love the child they should be allowed irregardless of whether or not they are lgbt
@9ZSWXW5 6mos6MO
People from the LGBT community are more likely to adopt than straight couples. This will decrease the amount of children who arnt adopt and have to live in foster care their whole life giving a better quality of life to helpless children. If a couple of any gender are seen fit and stable enough to raise a child they should be allowed to.
@9ZSHR846mos6MO
There is single parents that have perfectly healthy children, lgbtq+ parents that also have healthy Happy children same as a heterosexual relationship, doesn't matter the sexuality of the parents
@9ZH6JFJ 6mos6MO
so many people in traditional homes but terrible environment. it does not matter the gender, the child is what matters.
@9ZBGV53 7mos7MO
Gay couples are almost better as they have to face the hardships of uneducated and ignorant people they can teach their child to live unconditionally and stay open to all opinions
@9YNP2GB 7mos7MO
LGBT people are no different from Heterosexual people, other than who we love. As long as there is an agreed common consensus on how children deserve to grow up in a safe, loving & supportive environment, I believe it should be applied to all couples, regardless of sexuality, as long those criteria are met.
We are human. Members of the LGBTQIA+ community are HUMAN.
We aren’t some twisted bunch of people, and the fact that we are viewed as “Dirty” or “Wrong” still, is ridiculous.
The Gay Marriage amendment was only passed with 62%. This may seem excellent that it passed, it is of course, but only 62%.
32% of people wanted to ban gay marriage. 32% of people wanted me and other members of my community to not have the chance to be proud of who we are, and love who we love.
I don’t want to have to uproot my life, and move to a country where I am seen as worthy of raising a child with my partner. When my striaght neighbours can adopt, why can’t we?
@9Z9M7D87mos7MO
