Do you support the government calling for a permanent ceasefire in Gaza?

The Israel-Hamas war is an armed conflict between Israel and Hamas militant groups that has been taking place in and around the Gaza strip since October 7 2023. The conflict started when Hamas militant groups fired rockets and attacked communities and military bases in southern Israel. 1,139 people were killed in the attack including 766 civilians and 373 civilian forces. 250 Israelis were taken hostage by Hamas. Yes, and our recognition of a Palestinian state. I also want the government to speak out more against Israel's policies of apartheid, etnic cleansing in Palestine as a whole and for Ireland to encourage other EU countries to recognise Palestine. Also Ireland should put pressure on EU countries arming Israel to stop doing so. Ireland should arrest IDF soldiers (and any others) accused of warm crimes in Palestine.

Yes, the Genocide in Gaza and the operations in the west bank need to end now, and we need a free palestine free from Israeli occupation

Yes, but only if that ceasfire was followed with political resolutions, because if not then I support Hamas' and the Palestinians' right to self defense against an illegally occupying force.
