Difficult to determine what is an authoritarian stance. Can't infringe on a countries right to self determination.

No because sanctions don't work. Don't get me wrong, I hate authoritarianism but sanctions help more than hurt those governments.

I do not trust what the EU defines as authoritarian. The EU thinks Hungary is authoritarian, which it is not.
