The "Free Tuition Fees Scheme" covers first time Irish or other EU undergraduates on approved full-time courses in publicly funded colleges. It does not cover students who may be repeating a year of their degree programme or students who are taking a second undergraduate degree. Opponents argue that foreign students should pay full tuition and should not be subsidised by Irish taxpayers. Proponents argue that offering the programme to international students helps attract skilled workers from other countries to Ireland.

Yes, if their families are also living in Ireland. No, if they are here for education alone
@962KL2Y1yr1Y
Yes, but only for low-income students
@9PCHGNZ1mo1MO
Yes but should have to serve time in their current study field in Ireland before they can work same job elsewhere
@9PBC8Y51mo1MO
If someone was educated or lives in Ireland long term and plans on working here then yes but if they are planning on coming here just for free education then no.
@9N3SNRT2mos2MO
Depends on what constitutes foreign. Foreign student who have been in Ireland since childhood should have it free. Those just coming for university should not
@9MY38KG2mos2MO
Not necessarily. If the student is already resident in Ireland, yes, much like our elections. For students considering Ireland as a destination for "studying abroad", where they intend to return to their home country on graduation, fees should be paid, as they will not contribute to the tax pool subsequently.
