Nobody should be denied their right to access public facilities such as transportation especially because of a disability.

The DART does not have built in wheelchair ramps you must pre book a ticket online for a specific time. This is not reliable as the Dart could be cancelled and it also sometimes never shows up this is not fair for disabled people to not have a reliable form of transportation

As mentioned previously, public transport is the key to any thriving society. When a quick, cheap & reliable alternative to the car is offered, people will take it & get off the roads, therefore causing less traffic & pollution. Giving disabled people the same access to decent public transport allows them the basic freedoms that we all take for granted, & allows them to commute easier to jobs, college, social gatherings ect...

How would you feel if you were waiting on a bus to go home to work school etc and there was only one seat on the whole double decker bus and you had to wait and the same again with the next bus so on and so forth and you were left stuck waiting on transport.

Actually knowing someone struggling because of their disabilities will really open your eyes to just how hard life is for them. So much that we think nothing of, which would never even occur to us as ever being a challenge in the first place, can be monumental tasks for others.
And making things more accessible will have little or often no inconveniences for people without disabilities.

Every human is equal. Every human deserves the ability to use transportation, irrespective of what they are able to do. If someone needs a more accessible feature to use transportation, that should be provided to them.

My grandmother was deaf due to her teacher blowing her eardrums out after hitting her across the head. Without proper accessibility- which includes things like signs with large font, backlit signs and clear colours like black on white, subtitles, tactile responses- she would never have been able to live her full life to nearly 100. She was able to drive and farm until COVID hit because her world had been made accessible. If she had been living in the city or couldn't drive, she'd have been lost

does your worth in society decrease when you sit down in a chair without wheels? cuz that's what happens to people who use wheelchairs. it's ridiculous. that's not to mention people who are blind, deaf, have developmental disabilities, etc. everyone has a right to independence and dignity.
