What role do you think religion should play in education, and why?
Religion sets a great moral foundation for life. If you believe in nothing, you’ll believe in anything.

Our morality is guided by a number of things, like our evolutionary history which has enabled us to live in large social groups and also by the current social norms guided by logic, philosophy, science and cultural enlightenment.
This has replaced the need for religious morality.
A perfect example of this, is the fact that 'God' in the bible expressly allows slavery.
Even most religious people of course reject this now, which shows that our current 'religious morality' is just guided by the same things that I mentioned above.
