Addiction prevention only goes so far if we do nothing to address the root causes of why people become dependent.
If you say no and increase funding, the people who need these rehabs won’t have access to them as they are in serving time.

Reasons for addiction are complicated, criminalising people has not helped and imprisonment often makes the issue much worse. Disproportionately affects certain communities.
