Taxes should not be raised. Ireland is already one of the most expensive countries to live in in the EU, staggering at 42% above the EU average as of June 2024. If anything the taxes should be lowered for those making anything under 60k. 40% tax after 40k is not enough to live/and or save in this economy.

Why should those who have worked harder to earn more money than those who have worked less hard be penalised?

I think the taxes should be raised because the government needs more money and we could build more houses, which would reduce the housing crisis.
