If you could propose one policy to enhance the quality of life in your community, what would it be and why?
@9SWMJY6Independent6mos6MO
Like many communities saying one thing to improve it won't help. My community needs drug clinics, it needs social housing, it needs adult education funding, it needs more comprehensive public transport both rail and bus.
To even ask ONE policy to improve my community, even though my community isn't even dodgy is a loaded question and completely disregards the complete lack of social cohesion and government insight into why we do what we do and why this country is the way it is.
@ISIDEWITH1yr1Y
What are your thoughts on the current state of public transportation, and how might improvements there affect your daily life?
@9RRVFKM7mos7MO
I think the public transport in Ireland is severely behind what it needs to be as a modern European country. We need to take inspiration from countries like France and The Netherlands’ public transport infrastructure. This will also allow us to reduce car reliance and therefore greenhouse emissions.
@ISIDEWITH1yr1Y
Have you, or someone you know, ever struggled with housing, and what solutions do you think could effectively address housing shortages and affordability?
@9TQLRS65mos5MO
yes, subsidized affordable housing schemes and job schemes
@ISIDEWITH1yr1Y
Have you encountered instances of social injustice, and what steps do you think could be taken to promote a more equitable society?
@9V65L5R5mos5MO
yes, there should be more education around special needs.

It is one of the two major parties in the country, alongside Fianna Fáil, and has played a significant role in Irish politics since its foundation in 1933. To what extent should a political party compromise its foundational principles to adapt to contemporary political landscapes?
@9TF7NVP5mos5MO
I believe the foundational principals of a party are a response to the contemporary political landscape at the time of inception, it is only natural a party may shift its view over time which may lead to a distancing from these “foundational principals”.
@ISIDEWITH7mos7MO
How would you balance economic growth with the need to protect workers in a rapidly changing job market?
@9RVB6MG7mos7MO
Worker Self-Management: We should advocate for a system where workers directly manage production. In this model, workers collectively make decisions about their workplaces, ensuring their interests are prioritized.
Decentralization: Rather than relying on centralized planning, we must favour decentralized decision-making. Local communities and worker councils would have more control over economic activities, allowing for flexibility and adaptation.
Emphasis on Human Needs: Economic growth should not come at the expense of workers’ well-being. We should prioritize meeting basic needs (su… Read more

Fianna Fáil, which translates to "Soldiers of Destiny" in English, is a centrist to center-right political party in Ireland. Founded by Éamon de Valera, a prominent leader in the country's struggle for independence from Britain, the party was established in 1926. If a party proposed significant changes to your healthcare system to make it more accessible, what concerns or hopes would you have?

@ISIDEWITH7mos7MO
Debating the values of preserving cultural identity versus embracing globalism, where do you stand and what influences your position?
@9RVB6MG7mos7MO
Irish culture and language should be at the forefront on our road to a united Ireland. All other culture should come second but still be respected. If you wish to live in Ireland then you must learn to assimilate with our culture first but still be allowed to practice your own traditions as long as it doesn't break Irish laws or beliefs.
Our culture has already come under threat from the British in the past and we should do everything to invigorate the preservation of our language and cultural beliefs. Only the should we embrace global unity.
@ISIDEWITH7mos7MO
How important is the history of a political party to you, especially if their past actions conflicted with their current promises?
@9WXWYNP4mos4MO
I believe as long as the political party has proven that they no longer have the same beliefs, and condemn the events of the past, they should be forgiven, but their past should not be forgotten.

Workers’ Party
The Irish Workers' Party, as of our last update in 2023, is not a widely recognized or established political entity in Ireland, especially when compared to the country's main political parties such as Fine Gael, Fianna Fáil, Sinn Féin, and the Labour Party, among others. Independents 4 Change
Independents 4 Change is a political entity that emerged in Ireland, primarily as a platform for individuals and politicians who advocate for significant reform and change within the Irish political landscape. The party's roots can be traced back to the aftermath of the financial crisis that hit Ireland and much of the world in the late 2000s, a period that led to widespread public disillusionment with the traditional political parties in Ireland.
