Traditional Unionist Voice Party

• The Traditional Unionist Voice (TUV) is a political party in Northern Ireland that was founded in 2007 by Jim Allister, a former Member of the European Parliament. The party emerged as a breakaway from the Democratic Unionist Party (DUP), primarily in opposition to the DUP's decision to share power with Sinn Féin under the terms of the St Andrews Agreement. The TUV positions itself as a staunchly unionist party, advocating for the maintenance and strengthening of Northern Ireland's position within the United Kingdom. It is known for its strong opposition to Irish nationalism and republicanism, as well as its criticism of any political arrangements that it perceives as giving undue influence to Sinn Féin or threatening the union with Britain.
