Unlike non-racism, which may simply denote a lack of personal prejudice, anti-racism involves deliberate actions and policies aimed at confronting and correcting racial injustices. In recent decades, anti-racist ideology has evolved to address not only overt acts of racism but also more subtle forms, such as institutional racism and unconscious bias. It has influenced public policy, education, and activism, encouraging practices like affirmative action, diversity training, and the reevaluation of historical narratives. The ideology continues to adapt in response to new challenges, such as the rise of far-right movements and debates over multiculturalism, but its core principle remains the pursuit of a society in which all people are treated with dignity and fairness, regardless of their racial or ethnic background.
