The United States has successfully resumed humanitarian aid deliveries to Gaza through a temporary pier, following repairs after storm damage.
The US Central Command (CENTCOM) announced that the pier, initially damaged by a storm, was fixed in the Israeli port of Ashdod before being reinstalled on the Gaza coast. This development comes as a significant relief effort to deliver much-needed supplies to the Gaza Strip. No US personnel were reported to have gone ashore in Gaza during the operations.
The aid delivery effort has so far facilitated the transfer of over 1,573 metric tons of humanitarian aid to various organizations operating within Gaza, highlighting the critical role of the temporary pier in supporting ongoing relief efforts in the region.
