Because like alot of topics taught to anyone, there's always an example. Sometimes that example is bang on exactly how somthing happens, like saying "Our eyes are used to see." But even if they are, it dosent always garentee they work that way, some people can be partly blind or have colour blindness so there is no "one way" to describe seeing. This ties back to body image.
