The American Civics test is an examination that all immigrants must pass to gain U.S. citizenship. The test asks 10 randomly selected questions which cover U.S. history, the constitution and government. In 2015 Arizona became the first state to require High School students to pass the test before they graduate.

No, you should not be able to become Irish by taking an exam or by any other means. Being Irish is more than just a piece of paper, it is inherent.
Yes but after a predetermined amount of time to show an attempt to integrate into their new environment
@B7FDSM27mos7MO
Yes, but it should be after living here for a period of time and it should be tested on the general population to make sure current citizens would pass it, and governments should provide the education needed to pass
@9ZH95KB1yr1Y
I do think yes, but it should only cover very basic and simple topics but also most citizens couldn't even pass a citizenship test, so it doesn't really matter.
@9Z9B73P1yr1Y
Yes, but it cannot just be a pass with basic knowledge they must be able to be pass at a higher degree
Yes but it should test a good level of understanding the language, history, government and our culture as a whole.
No, I believe only having a knowledge of the language should be necessary, as many citizens don't have a basic level of understanding
@9F2MBPCIndependent3yrs3Y
Yes, and it should apply to everyone and set to high standards and difficult.
@8C5RDBV6yrs6Y
Any immigrant who enters the country should have to spend decades learning about the Irish and their country before they can gain citizenship. Partial citizenship should be default for foreigners.
@99P372G3yrs3Y
I think they should be tested on a basic understanding of laws that affect daily life.
@8ZP8PFFSocial Democrats4yrs4Y
Yes, but only if they're trying to apply for dual citizenship.
@997DCBP3yrs3Y
Only an English/Irish test and laws of ireland
@92KTLQ94yrs4Y
Not unless applying for Irish citizenship.
@8PGMBBT5yrs5Y
Yes but only if they're applying for full citizenship. Should not be a requirement for those coming for asylum, work, study who do not wish to pursue citizenship.
@8CWNV9J6yrs6Y
Yes, but without full citizenship for at least a few decades if ever
@9BQ64YQ3yrs3Y
They should be given a chance to be educated on the topic, to then take the test
@99V72GY3yrs3Y
The criminal of attached the modes with out more decrease details are their way citizens of Ireland and UK with American Donald trump is the duck whether of more popular of republicans
@8XMVCMQ4yrs4Y
Only if they wish to get citizenship
@8RLGPYF5yrs5Y
Yes, but only for how government functions to educate them to vote and be politically engaged
@8QNLDHQ5yrs5Y
Yes, in very basic areas but it should not be a deciding factor in issuing citizenship, i.e. it should act more as education than testing. However, it should not apply to refugees and asylum seekers as this would be an unnecessary delay in their international protection application.
@8QMLLJZ5yrs5Y
Yes make it simple and make it so you understand Irish values, but make it so you don't have to do the test or pay a fee if you can speak Irish.

No Immigrants shouldnt even enter the country in the First place
Yes — keep a basic, fair citizenship test, but don’t use it as a barrier. Focus on strong, clear eligibility rules and supports so people can pass.
