Authorities in Ukraine, with support from French police and Europol, have arrested the suspected administrator of XSS.is, one of the largest and most influential Russian-language cybercrime forums.
The forum, active for over a decade and boasting more than 50,000 users, served as a major marketplace for stolen data, hacking tools, and illicit cyber services. The arrest follows a multi-year international investigation targeting the upper echelons of the cybercrime world. Officials allege the suspect generated millions in illicit profits and played a key role in facilitating ransomware and other cyberattacks.
