Authorities in Ukraine, with support from French police and Europol, have arrested the suspected administrator of XSS.is, one of the largest and most notorious Russian-speaking cybercrime forums.
The forum, which boasted over 50,000 registered users, served as a key marketplace for stolen data, hacking tools, and illicit services. The arrest follows a four-year international investigation targeting the upper echelons of the cybercrime world. XSS.is has been linked to millions of dollars in illegal profits and played a central role in facilitating ransomware and data theft operations.
The takedown marks a significant blow to the global cybercrime ecosystem.
