World Central Kitchen (WCK), a major food aid organization founded by chef José Andrés, has been forced to suspend its hot meal operations in Gaza due to a complete lack of ingredients.
This marks the second time WCK has had to pause cooking because of restricted access to humanitarian aid. The suspension leaves thousands of Palestinians, already facing severe food shortages, without a critical source of daily nutrition. While some baking and water delivery efforts continue, the closure of charity kitchens and soup kitchens highlights the deepening humanitarian crisis.
Aid groups warn that unless access to supplies is restored, hunger and desperation in Gaza will only worsen.
