Britain, France, and Germany are warning Iran that they will reimpose tough United Nations sanctions by the end of August if Tehran does not make concrete progress on its nuclear program.
The renewed threat comes as Iran and the European powers prepare for fresh talks in Istanbul, marking the first negotiations since the recent ceasefire with Israel. Iran has responded defiantly, vowing retaliation if sanctions are restored and insisting it will not halt uranium enrichment. The dispute centers on the collapse of the 2015 nuclear deal, with both sides blaming each other for the breakdown.
The situation remains tense, with the possibility of escalating regional instability if no agreement is reached.
