Rose Girone, the oldest known Holocaust survivor, has passed away at the age of 113 in a nursing home in New York.
Born in Russia, she endured the horrors of the Holocaust before escaping to the United States via China. Her death was confirmed by her daughter, Reha Bennicasa, who is also a Holocaust survivor. Girone lived for over eight decades after World War II, bearing witness to history and resilience.
With her passing, Mirjam Bolle, aged 108, is now believed to be the oldest living Holocaust survivor.
