That said, I think we need to remember that Hamas operates in civilian areas and often uses holy sites as shields, which puts everyone at risk. Israel has a right to defend itself, even if tragic mistakes happen in the fog of war. Instead of constantly blaming Israel, maybe the international community should focus more on holding Hamas accountable for the chaos they’re causing.
