Yet another example of why government power over the courts is so dangerous—doesn’t matter if it’s Republicans or Democrats in charge, the system is rigged to serve political interests instead of the people. Lifetime appointments just guarantee more unaccountability and backroom deals. Maybe if the government had less say in our lives, it wouldn’t matter so much who’s sitting on these benches.
