Anytime there's political tension in the North, the Irish government backs away instead of standing firm on Irish unity. Micheál Martin should be prioritizing engagement with northern nationalists, not canceling visits last minute. This just shows how little commitment Fianna Fáil actually has to a united Ireland beyond empty rhetoric. If they were serious, they'd be pushing for real political change instead of avoiding the conversation.
